Step into Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Tysons Corner and you’ll see something new. The restaurant has just completed renovations.
“We opened our doors on December 7, 2000 and now it’s 15 years later…it was time for a change!” said Michael Garcia, operating partner. Guests will immediately notice the lighter interior, enhanced by bright windows, lighter wallpaper, and fewer dark woods. “We opened up the inside to be more airy and less clubby, with a more inviting atmosphere. We feel everyone has gained a lot more energy from this change.”
Inside, Fleming’s replaced the bar tables and chairs, flooring and carpeting. “People will notice the three different fabric textures in our booths, bar and dining rooms,” Garcia added. The Reserve Room in the center of the Dining Room is lit from within and bottles are illuminated “behind the glass” at the bar. New copper awnings and a larger sign enhance the exterior.
“We came to Tysons as a small steakhouse from California 15 years ago, and while other restaurants around us failed, we’ve gotten stronger. We strive for excellence and we cared enough to upgrade with a new look and some modern features we wanted to add.”
“While our physical appearance has changed, the quality of our steaks has not,” he continued. Fleming’s’ specialties include its prime rib (Sunday only), hand-selected wet- and dry-aged USDA Prime, Certified Angus and Wagyu beef, double-thick pork chops and fresh seafood, with everything made from scratch. Small plates are also available. Select from its more than 200-bottle wine collection, with 100 wines served by the glass.
For drink and appetizers at its renovated bar, come for one of the two happy hours, held 5-7pm and 8-10pm daily, even on weekends. At the early happy hour, indulge in a $7.00 prime hamburger.
Fleming’s is conveniently located near Fairfax County’s business district, a stone’s throw from the Tysons Galleria and Tysons Corner Center, and offers complimentary valet parking. It is open to the public for dinner daily and for special events in one of four private dining rooms.
