Letter from the Publisher

Q. How can you tell spring has arrived here in Tysons?

A. Girl Scout Cookies on Sale at Pike 7 Plaza.

After a tremulous winter of record cold weather, anticipation on HQ2, and maddening politics, a few Peanut Butter Tagalongs and Savannah Smiles are spot on.

Welcome to Spring in the New American City, Tysons. It’s sure to be an exciting year with so much to wrap our arms around. New luxury living options, new communities like the Boro set to open, new restaurants, outdoor cafe’s and entertainment venues, and that’s just the start. It’s exciting! We hope you’ll find time to get out and enjoy the concerts at Wolf Trap, festivals, and activities in our parks and recreation options.

Our editors have explored some of the wedding traditions we’ve experienced for years, and yet, know very little about why we do what we do and why. Fun reading. We’ve included some celebration options for those of you looking to tie the knot here in our area. From catering venues to creating a “rustic wedding” to questions to ask your wedding caterer by Michael Evans, you’ve got a lot of great information to help you. And, our Health and Wellness sections includes some tips for living a more “effervescent” life. We hope you enjoy our editor’s selections.

Searching for a Top Rated Dentist? Lucky us! We have some of the best options for dental health care in the area. We bring you a few names to include in your search.

Have you got, or know someone who has a “Special Needs Child?” We asked Patricia Lee Hall to seek out some programs to give you and your loved one some quality time. Thanks, Patricia.

A “Meet-Up” for wine lovers. Sounds like fun! Linda knows where, and she shares the spots. And speaking of spots, Renee spent some time in St. Augustine and took us along with her. I’m going! Thanks, Renee.

Spring means “new” in our house-new doors, a new fence, new roof… you name it, we need it.  Here are some profiles of area Top Remodeling Experts for your consideration.

Successful home ownership begins with dedicated, experienced advice…the kind of advice, consultations, and assistance you’re sure to get from our Top Realtors profiled in this issue. We hope 2019 is a great year for Real Estate, and our Realtors are ready for your questions and at your service. It’s a great time to buy or sell your home.

Just say Cheese? Then head to Jill Erbers’s Cheesetique in Mosaic. Fun, delightful menu and great service.

So much more too…around town, Spotlight on Fairfax’s Future Silverline Stations by Dusty Smith, “Clear Habits” by Robert Glazer, Teen Suicide Prevention by Susan Baldani and surprises throughout. We hope you enjoy the efforts of our team. Your continued readership and support of our advertisers give us a reason to “get at it” every day. Thank You.

Enjoy the changing season. See you in May.

Correction and Apologies are due to Lorraine and our friends at JV’s for reporting incorrectly the number of shows held every year at one of our area’s best venues. It was reported incorrectly they held thirteen to fourteen shows a year when the number is actually in the hundreds.
