Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen Debuts its first Virginia restaurant in Falls Church

Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen is debuting its first Virginia restaurant in Falls Church, Va. at 1208-D W Broad St. with a grand opening on Sept. 22, 2022. Its healthy, gluten-free, build-your-own ‘Bol’ concept of greens, grains and proteins is a signature item for the restaurant, while providing a fast, casual dining experience, and providing corporate and special event catering service as well. It’s noted for its global flavors of special spice blends, sauces, and menu items like forbidden black rice, spicy Thai shrimp, cilantro pesto noodles and balsamic mushrooms. On Sept. 22st, the first 100 guests on grand opening day will receive a free Bol each month for one year through the BolayGo App. During Bolay VIP Week, starting Sept. 22, guests will receive a free Bol when they redeem their registration ticket at the cash register. Customers can register for VIP Week, by going to Bolay’s website at https://www.bolay.com/locations/falls-church-va.

The Concept

The Bolay restaurant concept was founded in 2016 by Bolay CEO, Chris Gannon, son of Outback Steakhouse co-founder, Tim Gannon. The idea was to bring flavor and healthy ingredients to a fast casual dining experience. Bolay knows that people are on the go and are looking to get healthy options. Whether your managing family dinner for your family or looking for a quick, lunch on you work break, Bolay’s vegan and meat-based Bol’s providing an energizing, flavorful meal to support a healthy lifestyle.

General Manager, Erik Ashton

Bolay of Falls Church, Va. is led by its dynamic, general manager, Erik Ashton, long-time Reston, Va. resident, who has worked in the food and beverage industry for more than 25 years. Ashton most recently worked with the Great American Restaurant management team in Tysons Corner Va. The former certified ski-instructor and licensed tour guide is an avid traveler, and names New Zealand as his favorite destination, where he got to heli-ski, (when you take a helicopter to access backcountry ski runs that are otherwise very difficult to reach.) Ashton resides in Reston, Va. with his wife and newly rescued cat.

“Bolay is about energizing, healthy foods that help us be at our best and feel our best; we want to inspire our Bolay team and our guests to be the best versions of themselves,” said Erik Ashton, general manager of Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen of Falls Church, Va. “I’m thrilled to introduce the Bolay experience to Northern Virginia and eager to create so many new, job opportunities for our community,” said Ashton.

The Menu

Outback Steakhouse co-founder Tim Gannon and his son, Chris Gannon, created Bolay Fresh Bold Kitchen, headquartered in Wellington, Florida. The build-your-own ‘Bol’ restaurant takes a customizable and modern, healthy approach to fast, casual dining. The menu, designed by Michelin-star chef Robert Pugh, is noted for its nutritious all gluten-free menu of greens, grains, proteins, spice blends and sauces. Bolay has established 22 restaurants in Florida, and recently expanded to Falls Church, Va., Gainesville, Va. and Alpharetta, Georgia.
