2941 Restaurant in West Falls Church will host a fundraiser dinner and tasting event, “Wine and Wonderment” next Monday, November 16 to raise money to buy holiday meals for needy families.
Local nonprofit Our Daily Bread, based in Fairfax City, is hosting on the event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. to raise money to feed the 3,000 Fairfax County needy families this holiday season. The tasting event will feature appetizers and a selection of wines in the restaurant’s Waterfall Room. Tickets are $50 and the deadline to buy them is Monday, November 9.
All Proceeds from the event will help families on their Holiday assistance list who are not sponsored for the holidays! From the Our Daily Bread web site, “In an area like ours – and with the economic situation our country is facing – it is far easier than one would think to have some of the trappings of a good life and still be unable to pay the rent or put food on the table. ODB works closely with social workers and community-based organizations to screen families enrolled in all of our programs for true need. However, their need is not always as apparent as we would expect.”
